Can I pay by card at the markets?
In most cases, yes, or there is an ATM located directly inside the market.
What kind of goods do the Christmas markets offer?
At the market stalls, vendors will offer a variety of Christmas goods, primarily traditional Czech Christmas ornaments and decorations made not only of glass but also of straw, corn husks, ceramics, wood, beads, and other materials. The marketplace will also feature an artistic blacksmith demonstrating traditional craftwork and offering forged products.
The assortment will be enriched with ceramic nativity scenes, bobbin-lace doilies and tablecloths, crocheted toys, and various other decorations. Visitors can also purchase mistletoe and Advent wreaths.
Snail lovers can enjoy this delicacy directly at the market. There will be a selection of Czech sausages, grilled cheese, skewers, pancakes, mini doughnuts, potato pancakes, fruit skewers drizzled with chocolate, and other treats. Of course, mulled wine, punch, mead, and hot apple cider will be available as well.
At Old Town Square, several charitable organizations will take turns in three sales stalls throughout the duration of the markets, offering their handmade products for sale.
